I had the honor of working with the G family shortly after their maternity session, as they welcomed their baby boy a few weeks early! When I arrived, I saw their dog sitting protectively around mom and baby, and it was the sweetest thing :) At one point, Wilbur the dog had his eyes closed and looked like he was sleeping (and yes, I got a photo of it!). It was funny because we joked that he might have been exhausted from watching the baby! There were so many other beautiful and tender moments from the session. See more of my favorite moments below! I had the honor of working with Akilah recently as we captured her graduation photos at Duke University! She completed her Masters of Nursing degree from Duke, and it truly was a JOY working with her. Akilah was incredibly warm and sweet, and was such a natural in front of the camera! We did photos by the famous Duke Chapel and captured the beautiful archways. We also captured some fun photos on Chapel Drive, and the golden hour light was stunning! I had the pleasure of working with the delightful B family again, and this year we did photos at Bond Park in Cary! We captured extended family photos as well as a variety of family groupings of each family, cousins, etc. One of my favorite things about this family is their energy and love for nature! During the shoot, the boys found some cool critters (how they manage to quickly spot the tiny insects always amazes me!). We also had a ton of fun capturing photos in the big field of the park, and found some huge sticks. The cousins proceeded to try balancing them, and I loved the candid nature of the photos! :) Enjoy some of my favorite highlights below!
