I had such a blast working with this group of graduates from Duke University this spring! These seniors were the class that started college in the fall of 2020, during the beginning of COVID. It’s crazy to think about starting college during a pandemic, but they made it through!

One of the things I loved about this group was their connection and friendship with one another. They were so energetic and funny, and I wanted to capture their special dynamic with each other! We started off the session by photographing some nice group portraits and individual shots by Duke Chapel. We then ended the session on Chapel Drive and documented some fun moments of them celebrating! The last photo was my favorite, which was an AMAZING jumping photo. It was truly a JOY to work with E for her high school senior session! We captured her photos at the beautiful NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, and I had a blast documenting her senior photos on the grassy fields. We had time to do two outfits, and I was excited when she told me her second outfit was a red dress—she will be attending NC State University next year, so red was a fitting choice! :) Most of all, I was truly blown away at how poised E was, and I have no doubt she will do amazing things in her future! I had such a blast capturing family photos for the C family again! :) I’ve been photographing their family for almost FIVE years, and it truly means the world to me when I see returning families year after year! It also happened to be around the same time as M and E’s 10th wedding anniversary, which is such an amazing milestone! :)

For this session, we captured photos at the beautiful Historic Yates Mill Pond Park in Raleigh. The weather was absolutely perfect that day—pleasantly warm with sunny skies. We captured some fun family shots by the wooden building, and then got some gorgeous photos by the waterfall and mill! We then had fun reading a book, playing soccer (the kids were SO athletic and talented!), and doing a lot of swinging. I also made sure we captured a few photos of mom and dad in celebration of their wedding anniversary! :) Enjoy some of my favorite highlights below!
