Conner and Makayla | Raleigh Engagement Photographer

I had the wonderful honor of capturing engagement photos for Conner and Makayla last month! They are wonderful friends that I know from BSF Young Adults Class in Raleigh, and have such an honest and sweet connection with each other. They met each other through a mutual friend in college and have been together for almost four years!

The weather was absolutely perfect the day of our photo shoot. The temperature was pleasant and cool, and the sun peeked out a couple of times from the clouds. Conner and Makayla were so natural in front of the camera, and basically every pose they did looked AMAZING! Usually from a photo shoot, I’d have some memorable and favorite moments, but for this session EVERY moment felt like my favorite!!! :) There were so many stunning photos, and I think it was because they radiated so much joy and excitement in each photo! They are truly one of the most kind, thoughtful, and considerate couples I know, and I’m SO excited for their future together. I know the Lord has wonderful plans for these two! Enjoy some highlights below!!

Outdoor Maternity Session | Raleigh Maternity Photographer

If you’re on the fence about getting maternity photos, let me tell you it’s something SO worth doing! I had the wonderful opportunity to capture maternity photos for Kathleen and Andrew, and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple. I remember Kathleen saying that she wanted to capture the excitement during this time of waiting, and to be able to look back at these maternity photos and feel good about how her baby bump looked. Mamas, if that sounds like you, I highly recommend capturing maternity portraits—whether it’s with me or having a friend or spouse take the photos! This season of life is so precious and special—a time where your body is changing and your family dynamic is changing—and is something you won’t regret doing.

The day of our shoot was VERY chilly, but Kathleen and Andrew (and their dog, Lori) were such troopers! They were brave enough to take their jackets off for a few minutes at a time and fight the cold during their session. I do have to say though, you can’t even tell it was a cold day by looking at the photos because they had SO much warmth and excitement for their baby boy—see for yourself below! :)

Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites from this beautiful winter maternity shoot!

The Janson Siblings | Raleigh Family Photographer

Siblings are truly one of the greatest gifts in life—there’s no other person who really knows you like your brother or sister! I recently had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the Janson siblings. The youngest, Makayla, got in touch with me and I learned they wanted to gift their parents with a photo of all of them. Getting all four of the siblings together was so precious because they live in different cities, and as we all know the older you get, the harder it is to coordinate dates/times with people!

The day of our shoot was a bit chilly, but I was SO glad the sun was shining! We had a morning shoot at the NC Museum of Art, and we had so much fun taking photos together. They had AMAZING energy during our session and were full of joy and smiles. They were also so genuine and silly with their interactions with each other! I also learned the two oldest, Elise and Kyle, are TWINS (see first photo below: the twins are the two siblings who are standing in the middle!). I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter group of people to work with, and I hope you enjoy scrolling through my favorites!

Location: North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, NC
