There’s something special about having extended family together—and Jack’s surprise 70th birthday celebration was the perfect reason to gather everyone in one place! His daughter, Samantha, reached out to me because they were planning a surprise party for her dad’s birthday in Durham, NC, and she wanted to take advantage of the occasion to capture updated family photos while everyone was together. With family and friends gathered from all over to celebrate such an important milestone, it was a wonderful opportunity to document this precious moment in time! I truly had SO much fun capturing this special occasion, and it was clear how loved Jack was by his family and friends. I had the privilege of working with the D family again, and it was for a special celebration! Their three boys have birthdays in the summer within a few weeks of each other, and it was the perfect time for them to host a family reunion. The extended family has not been together since pre-covid times, so this was extra special! My favorite moment from this event was when it was time for CAKE :) The kids were SO excited and literally couldn’t keep their eyes off of the amazing Encanto-themed cake! I also loved that the boys had their ages on their shirts—it was SO cute! Enjoy seeing my favorite highlights and moments below!

Ready for some CUTE baby photos?! :) Today we are featuring baby Aiden and his 100th Day Birthday! In Korean culture, the 100th day after a child’s birth is a significant milestone, and I had the honor to take photos of this special time. We started the session by taking some photos of him sleeping/waking-up, and then being carried by his mom and dad. Next we had the grandparents hold him, and he got incredibly excited when his grandma picked him up! It was a priceless moment :) Scroll below to see the sweet giggles they had together!
