This family photo session was incredibly FUN, hilarious, and joyful! In celebration of grandpa’s 75th birthday, this family captured photos of this wonderful milestone together at Umstead Park in Raleigh. I absolutely loved the color scheme they picked out for their outfits (so perfect for fall!) and I also loved the humor they brought to the shoot! One of my favorite moments was capturing Jo and her sister giving their dad a kiss on the cheek—his expression was priceless! My other favorite moment was capturing them FLOSSING!! The oldest nephew was SO GOOD at flossing, and it was so endearing and fun to watch him teach everyone how to floss! Welcome to the world, baby A! I recently had the honor of documenting newborn photos for Courtney and Chip, and we had a wonderful time capturing so many tender moments of baby A! We did part of the shoot outside in the beautiful yard and fig tree, and also took some sweet lifestyle photos inside the home. One of my favorite moments was when Baby A started crying, Chip held her while bouncing on a yoga ball. She loved it and instantly fell back asleep! It was so sweet and funny :) Congrats again, Courtney and Chip!

This lifestyle family session was unbelievably FUN from beginning to end. I had the honor of capturing photos for this sweet family again, and we had a TON of fun capturing family fall photos outside their home. We also had a lot of fun inside the home, and gave the kids the opportunity to jump on the bed and hang out in the play room. One of my favorite moments was seeing their oldest son fitting into a box called, “H.M.S. Fantashtic” (yes, that was the way it was spelled!). Seriously, never underestimate the entertainment level of a box! Lastly, we ended the session with playing on the swings in the backyard. The joy on their little faces was priceless! Doing activities you love to do together as a family is truly a great way to capture candid photos of you and your children. Enjoy the sweet photos below!
