I had such a delightful time photographing the Poe family this fall! They contacted me because they wanted to capture this moment in time as a family of three before baby #2 arrives. We decided on capturing their photos at the beautiful NCMA for the beautiful open fields and pretty scenery! One of the most memorable parts of the shoot was when their daughter decided to hide under mom’s dress…it was SO hilarious and such a spontaneous moment! I also loved how much she loved to pick flowers and dance during our shoot. Her free-spirit and energy was so fun to capture! Most of all, I loved seeing how much they enjoyed one another and laughed together as a family. Super excited for baby #2 to arrive and join the love! Enjoy seeing my favorite moments below!

The Jocius family was such a joy to photograph! I had the honor of working with them this fall and they were so relaxed, charming, and FUN to photograph! We captured photos at Duke University around the beautiful Duke Chapel and pathways surrounding the area. The fall colors were absolutely GORGEOUS and the weather was surprisingly very pleasant that day—it wasn’t too hot or cold! One of the most memorable things from this shoot was capturing how close they were as a family. I loved the way they would joke around each other and how comfortable they were in front of the camera! I had the honor of working with the Boros family again, and we captured some beautiful outdoor photos with extended family this year! We went to Umstead Park and it was such a wonderful place for all the kids to run and explore nature, and there truly was never a dull moment during the shoot :) The shoot started off with one of the kiddos missing his shoe (which we quickly found nearby!), and I often tell people that it’s the in-between moments like this that I believe are worth capturing! Besides these silly moments, we also captured some beautiful family portraits of the whole family, cousins, and more in the forest as well as the gorgeous lake.
