I had such a wonderful time photographing the Lawrence family recently! We captured some fun, candid photos at Umstead Park in Raleigh, and the kids loved it :) It was so sweet to photograph the twins interacting with their parents, and the kiddos were SO active and excited during the shoot! One of my favorite parts of the shoot was capturing them blowing bubbles (which is their favorite activity to do!) and documenting them jumping when we were capturing family portraits at the end of the shoot. Y’all, the world is truly a small place! As most of you know, I am originally from Seattle, Washington. Specifically, I grew up in Issaquah, which is about 20-30 minutes east of Seattle proper. A few months ago, I received an inquiry from a familiar name…and it was from one of my old high school friends, Mandy! She moved to Durham right before the pandemic started, and then had her sweet baby boy at the beginning of the pandemic. Like many people, it was a difficult year to get pictures and to get together with family. Now that vaccines have rolled out, the grandparents from both sides were able to visit and celebrate their grandson’s first birthday! It was truly a special occasion and I had a ton of fun capturing all the joy and love from this sweet celebration! I had a WONDERFUL time photographing the Huntley family again! We took photos at the scenic Joyner Park in Wake Forest, and the park was absolutely beautiful. It was such a joy catching up with them and capturing how big their kids have grown! There were seriously so many sweet and funny moments from the shoot. I loved it when their oldest son picked some flowers for his mom; he truly has such a big and tender heart! :) I also loved capturing their interactions with their youngest member of the family. I remember they were calling his name to come to them, and he ran so fast into his dad’s arms! It was the cutest thing ever! The best part of the shoot was truly seeing how joyful they were even in the middle of this pandemic. Having each other and the love of family is such a gift and blessing!
