When it's 70 degrees in February in Raleigh, North Carolina, you definitely want to be outside! I had a blast taking photos of these awesome kiddos at Pullen Park in Raleigh. Jude and Shepherd were so cheerful, and not shy at all in front of the camera! We had so much fun taking these sweet sibling photos by the bridge, and also found a great spot by the water for some individual portraits.

Their parents, Roxy and Tim, are founders of Oak City Soccer, which is a wonderful organization that provides a safe and enriching environment for children with autism or other spectrum and sensory challenges to learn soccer. Learn more about what they do here!

It was a windy, but beautiful afternoon to take family photos at the American Tobacco District. We took pictures during the "golden hour," and the lighting was so warm and cheery, it was if the sun was saying hello to us during this Durham family photography session! Abbi and her daughter, Emma, were delightful to work with and had such GREAT smiles. It was so evident they have a strong mother-daughter relationship, and it was a joy to capture their sweet personalities. Abbi is also an amazing community leader, and is the Founder and Executive Director of Transforming Hope Ministries, a local nonprofit geared towards ending human trafficking.

There is nothing more beautiful than doing a portrait session during sunrise in Durham, NC! The morning light is incredibly soft making it ideal to take portraits. Despite the cold temperature, Melanie and her dog, Sadie, were troopers and greeted me with amazing warmth and energy.
