What an honor it was to capture this newborn session for Blake and Cassandra! I’ve had the privilege of capturing their proposal/engagement and wedding, and it was such a joy to photograph this new season of life for them :) Also, did you know this family MOVED and gave birth to Baby A all within a few weeks before we did this newborn session? I was blown away at how they were handling all these changes and loved seeing the pure joy they had with their baby girl. Oh what fun it was to photograph this sweet family again! We captured their family photos at Pullen Park in Raleigh this year, and it was AWESOME. Their smiles and energy are truly wonderful, and we had a fun time capturing a lot of happy and silly moments! The Christmas decor was also up and there were so many beautiful spots to capture the fall colors and leaves. Their daughter was absolutely delightful and cheerful (she was a natural in front of the camera!), and was such a sweet big sister to her baby brother. I think my favorite part was seeing their daughter posing in front of the camera with her Frozen sunglasses—she totally rocked it! :) Enjoy seeing more of my favorite moments of this beautiful family below!

One of my favorite things about the Duke campus is how BEAUTIFUL it is during the fall! I had the honor of working with the R family in November, and it was a joy to capture their family photos during this pretty season. Before we started the shoot, I LOVED seeing how happy Baby R looked while eating his snacks—it’s truly those in-between, real moments that I find fun to capture! :) I also loved how playful they all were, and we had so much fun doing high-fives, tossing Baby R in the air, reading books, and playing in the leaves! I’m also glad we had a chance to capture photos of just mom and dad as I know those don’t happen as often as we like!
