A Precious Newborn Session at Home | Cary Family Photographer

I had the honor of working with the D family again as they welcomed their baby girl to the family! Baby M was the sweetest baby, and had incredibly beautiful blue eyes. I also loved capturing the family lifestyle shots in the bedroom, and seeing them all laugh and enjoy one another! Their son was also so sweet to his baby sister, and even kissed her on the head :) See more precious moments from this beautiful lifestyle newborn session below!

A Precious Time Together | Durham Family Photographer

I had a delightful time capturing family photos for the Adams family last month! This family was SO warm and welcoming, and there were so many wonderful highlights from this shoot. I captured a variety of groupings for the family, and the first one was a portrait of the grandparents, also known as Pop and Baba in the family! Baba has some mobility issues due to multiple sclerosis, and I thought it was incredibly touching to see Pop helping his wife walk towards the patio chairs for the shoot. Their love for one another was so sweet!

I also loved capturing the brother and sister shot of Steve and Robin (the adult children of Pop and Baba). Steve has down syndrome, and it was endearing to see his sister holding his hand during most of the shoot to help him feel comfortable! We also took a more candid style approach to get some genuine smiles. We had a fun conversation with Steve about what they’ll be doing later in the day, which was Pizza Friday!

One other memorable part of the shoot was capturing photos of their 17-year-old yorkie, Winston! He was so teeny tiny, and incredibly adorable and full of love! Even though he was blind and deaf, he showed so much affection for his owner, Becky, and towards the whole family. I loved the photo of him licking Becky’s face! :) Y’all, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, don’t wait to take photos with your family. Life goes by so fast! We can have a safe and socially distanced shoot, and I’ll be wearing a mask and refrain from contact. Please contact me to learn about the precautions I’m taking to ensure a safe shoot!

A Special Note on Safety and COVID-19:

To help ensure a safe shoot for clients, I wear masks for all sessions and do my best to maintain proper social distance. If you are considering a family photography shoot, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to contact me and I can provide you with more details about how I’m handling safety during COVID-19.
