Want stunning photos? Capture photos during the golden hour! You seriously can’t beat the pretty light during this time of day! The soft glow truly elevates your photos and adds a touch of warmth and drama to your images. I had the privilege of documenting maternity photos for Sara and Steve at the gorgeous NCMA, and we had a blast capturing photos around the park! We were able to capture some pretty photos by the rings, as well as some intimate photos in the open field. I loved how comfortable they were in front of the camera, and I remember how much they made ME laugh! Often times I’m usually the one who tries to get clients to relax and laugh in front of the camera :) Their sense of humor and candidness truly made the shoot relaxing and fun, and the images turned out AMAZING. It was such a joy capturing newborn photos of Baby Blair a few weeks ago! I honestly never get tired of documenting newborn photos at home—it’s truly the most meaningful and beautiful place to be as a growing family! We started off the shoot by capturing some candid photos in the living room. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was including their mini golden-doodle, Stanley, in the photos! He was a bit timid and shy at first, but once he warmed up to me, he LOVED the camera (as you can see in the photos below!). Another memorable part of the shoot was when we were nearing the end of the shoot, Blair started crying and started pooping into her parents’ hands! Stephen said, “I can feel it coming out!” Fortunately she was wearing a diaper, and the expression on Caryn and Stephen’s face was PRICELESS. After a year and a half of waiting, Cassandra and Blake were able to finally celebrate their special day with their friends and family! :) Some of you may remember they held a very small, intimate wedding ceremony last year on their original wedding date (see blog here) and decided to postpone their larger gathering to 2021.

It truly was such a JOY and honor to document their larger gathering this year! All the details were so beautiful, and I especially loved seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces. Two Roosters were also there and served ice cream during the reception! It was such a fun and sweet treat! :) See more beautiful highlights from this wonderful day below!
