I absolutely love capturing in-home lifestyle sessions, especially portraits of mothers and their babies! There's something so honest and real about taking portraits at home; it's where life happens and where memories are created.

This was a special session because this mama, Stacy, wanted to capture sweet portraits of her and her last baby. Her daughter, 9 months of age, was transitioning out of the "baby" phase, and she wanted to capture how little her baby girl is, her cute baby rolls, and the way she smiles and giggles when she looks at mama before she grows up! We also took some sweet sibling photos with her older brother, and it was so cute seeing him kiss his little sister! I was so honored to be able to document this beautiful season of life for her, and know these will be photos that will be cherished forever.

Graduation parties are SO much fun, and such a wonderful accomplishment to celebrate with family! I had the honor to take some family photos for this UNC grad, Griffin. It was such a lively party with lots of bbq, children, and love! Griffin is the fourth of FIVE kids, the only BOY, and the fourth one to graduate from UNC! He also is the uncle to five ADORABLE nephews and nieces. I learned he is also close to his grandma, and was so happy to capture a sweet portrait of the two of them outside on the porch. Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites!!

Have you ever done a professional photo shoot with your family while on vacation? This family did! Hailing from the west coast, I had the wonderful honor of capturing these precious memories for this sweet family! I had so much fun getting to know this cheerful and energetic family who were in town for the Duke Alumni Weekend. Daniel contacted me because he wanted to surprise his wife with a family portrait session at their alma mater. He expressed their love for candid photos and wanted to capture the reality of the moment, which is something I'm all about!

We had so much fun playing in the grassy area of Duke Chapel and the nearby trails around the campus. I had such a blast capturing the energy of their son; he had the BEST laughs and loved to move and dance! It was so sweet watching their daughter wanting to follow her older brother, too, and wanting to hold hands and swing with mommy and daddy :) We ended the night with a gorgeous family portrait in front of the chapel!
