It was such a joy and an honor to photograph Bonnie, Madison, and Elizabeth as they celebrated their graduation from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Duke University! These three met during the program and quickly became close friends—a bond that made this session extra special to capture.

We began at one of Duke’s most iconic landmarks, the Duke Chapel, for a mix of classic portraits and fun, candid moments. The three of them looked beautiful in both their dressy outfits and their cap and gowns—I especially loved the deep forest green of the DPT regalia! After the Chapel, we made our way down to Chapel Drive for more photos, ending the session with a celebratory champagne pop. I had SO much fun capturing graduation photos for Nakia and Caroline this spring! These two met at Duke Law School and quickly became the best of friends—and their bond was so evident throughout the session. Their energy, excitement, and joy were absolutely contagious, and I loved every minute of documenting this special milestone for them!

We started our photo shoot by the iconic arches near Duke Chapel—always a favorite spot for students because of the famous gothic architecture and classic backdrop. We also had fun mixing things up with different poses that reflected their personalities and friendship!

As golden hour approached, we made our way to Chapel Drive, where the sunset light was absolutely incredible. The soft, warm light gave everything a magical feel, and we captured some of my favorite images of the two of them walking, laughing, and just soaking in the moment! We wrapped up the evening celebrating their amazing achievement—complete with a champagne pop and lots of laughter! :) See more highlights from this memorable graduation session below!

I had the honor of working with Elle, a standout student-athlete at Duke University! Not only does she play soccer for Duke, but she’s also graduating early and will be starting her master’s at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business this fall—talk about impressive!

We started the session capturing some gorgeous photos at Duke Gardens. Her dress had some beautiful hues of sage, lavender, and pink, and it complemented with the spring blooms SO well! We also captured photos at some iconic Duke spots, including Duke Chapel and Chapel Drive, for a classic and timeless touch.
