I had the honor of capturing graduation photos for Christina as she celebrated her graduation from Duke Law School! Christina was an absolute joy to work with, and one of the most meaningful parts of the session was having two of her close friends join us for a few photos. After losing her mother about a year ago, these friends were a tremendous source of support during her time at Duke. Although they won't graduate until next year, she wanted to document their friendship before this chapter of life came to a close.

It truly was a sweet reminder that graduation is about more than earning a degree—it's also about the people who walk alongside us through life's challenges and celebrations. I was deeply honored to capture these memories for Christina and her friends, and preserving this season of friendship, resilience, and accomplishment. It was such an honor to capture these Duke graduation photos for this wonderful group of friends! These ladies met each other through Duke Law and became fast friends. Before the shoot, they sent me some ideas of the poses and locations they want to do photos at, and I loved that we did a few photos in the Law Library! I had SO much fun capturing graduation photos for Nakia and Caroline this spring! These two met at Duke Law School and quickly became the best of friends—and their bond was so evident throughout the session. Their energy, excitement, and joy were absolutely contagious, and I loved every minute of documenting this special milestone for them!

We started our photo shoot by the iconic arches near Duke Chapel—always a favorite spot for students because of the famous gothic architecture and classic backdrop. We also had fun mixing things up with different poses that reflected their personalities and friendship!

As golden hour approached, we made our way to Chapel Drive, where the sunset light was absolutely incredible. The soft, warm light gave everything a magical feel, and we captured some of my favorite images of the two of them walking, laughing, and just soaking in the moment! We wrapped up the evening celebrating their amazing achievement—complete with a champagne pop and lots of laughter! :) See more highlights from this memorable graduation session below!
