Raleigh Family Photographer at Umstead Park | The Pelissero Family

Fall is the peak of holiday family photos, and as a Raleigh family photographer, I am SO excited to share some of the beautiful family photos I've been taking this season! The smiles and connection from this adorable family were so precious! I remember it was a chilly day and there were a TON of people at Umstead Park. Despite the crowds, we were able to snag some scenic areas to take family photos. We took photos around the wooded area as well as by the lake...and I'm telling you, the LIGHT was absolutely stunning! If you know me, you know that finding the BEST light is so important to me.

During the shoot, we started out with some family portraits, and then I had Jennifer and Craig take a few photos of just the two of them together (p.s., I always like to do photos of just mom and dad in every family session!). Their interaction with one other was so cute, and I LOVED Jennifer's giggle when Craig snuggled in close to her! :)

We also took lots of photos of their children, and they were all so adorable! Their sweet girls were so kind, and their baby brother was such a comedian. Towards the end of our session, we were taking individual portraits of each child, and their little brother, James, kept making his "Thor" face! It was hilarious, cute, and sweet all at the same time!

Enjoy these beautiful family photos!

Durham Family Photographer at Eno River | The Zhu Family

Taking portraits for dear friends is always a special honor! I was so excited when Mia reached out for maternity portraits and family photos as they will be expecting a baby GIRL in December! We had a sweet and fun family session at the West Point on Eno River, and my favorite part was when their son Elliot was tossing leaves in the air! The joy that is captured on their faces is priceless :)

Also, I absolutely LOVED their blue and yellow clothing coordination! It totally fit their happy personalities and added a nice warm touch to their photos! Did you know yellow is my favorite color, too? I love it because it's such a happy and cheerful color.

Enjoy getting to know the Zhu family with the photos below, and get ready to celebrate their growing family!

Raleigh Family Photography at RDU Airport | A Sweet Military Homecoming

As a Raleigh family photographer, I have the honor to take a variety of special events and milestones for families. From birthdays, anniversaries, to annual family portraits, it keeps my job fun and interesting! For this particular Raleigh family photography session, I had the honor to document a very special homecoming for the Bryant family at RDU Airport. This was a special homecoming because Wes was coming home from his last deployment with the Air Force, and Katie wanted to capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment for them to remember!

The Bryant's are a darling family with two precious little girls. When I met them at the airport, I was greeted by their warm smiles! The little girls wore beautiful matching red dresses, cute bows in their hair, and were carrying the American flag. It was very patriotic and ADORABLE all at the same time!! :)What I loved most were the dolls they were holding. If you look closely, it is a doll of their dad, which says, "Daddy loves you..." with their daughter's name. I felt like I was ready to cry because it was so sweet and touching! They would be able to give their dad doll a squeeze if they were missing him while he was away!

Also, it was wonderful seeing the USO present at the homecoming. There were many other families arriving home that day, and it was truly a beautiful moment. Thank you, Wes, and to all the men and women who serve our country!

Enjoy the photos and give your family an extra hug today! :)
