Ready for some CUTE baby photos?! :) Today we are featuring baby Aiden and his 100th Day Birthday! In Korean culture, the 100th day after a child’s birth is a significant milestone, and I had the honor to take photos of this special time. We started the session by taking some photos of him sleeping/waking-up, and then being carried by his mom and dad. Next we had the grandparents hold him, and he got incredibly excited when his grandma picked him up! It was a priceless moment :) Scroll below to see the sweet giggles they had together!

What do you think of when you hear the word, "home?" It's a word that can stir up a lot of memories. Some may have moved a lot during our childhood and can't think of a place of permanence; others may have stayed in the same house their whole childhood! Regardless how often a person moves, the word "home" not only symbolizes a place, but often relates to family. Who did you live with? Who took care of you? Who did you fight, laugh, and play with? I believe the people you live with really helps define a home to be a home.

This lifestyle family session in Raleigh was so special because the Phillips will be moving soon, and they wanted to capture memories of their family in their beloved home. For those who aren't familiar with lifestyle sessions, lifestyle photography is simply about capturing people doing life. It's about photographing your everyday moments in a genuine and authentic way. During the shoot I had a chance to document the girls reading to their little brother, the family having a fun tickle session, and some family portraits (yes, funny faces are allowed!). As we get ready to "spring forward" in a few days, this Durham family will be changing more than just their clocks! Our dear friends, Eric and Nancy, are soon to be expecting their first child! :) We had a wonderful lifestyle maternity session, and took time capturing moments of them simply relaxing at home. One of my favorite things about a lifestyle maternity session is that it preserves the memories of what your life looks like before the baby arrives, and can be a beautiful keepsake to share with your children. As the saying goes, your life changes completely once you have kids!

We also had a fun time with their cats, Roxy and Charlie. They were getting accustomed to the idea of having a baby around this house with the cabbage patch doll! It's so sweet and entertaining to see how pets become a part of the family journey as they grow up with children.
