Welcoming Baby Boy 3 | Durham Newborn Photographer

Documenting every season of life is so precious because the moments of today are so fleeting! I had the honor of capturing newborn photos for the de Jong family, and it truly was a pleasure to work with them again. They welcomed their third baby boy at the end of summer, and it was so fun capturing them as a family of five!

One of my favorite parts of the shoot was capturing the interactions of the older two boys with their baby brother. As seen with the first photo, when I asked them all to look at their baby brother, they did look at him, but also poked him! It’s these candid moments that I find truly depicts real life! However, we did capture some sweet moments later on and it was wonderful to see them interacting with their baby brother :)

We ended our session in the boys’ room, and it was so sweet to see them read together! I also loved it when we had the oldest brother hold his youngest brother, and we captured a group hug with everyone. Together is truly the best place to be! Congrats again to the de Jong family!

Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite moments below from this sweet newborn session!

Fall Photos at Umstead Park | Raleigh Family Photographer

I had the honor of photographing the Phillips family again, this time at Umstead Park in Raleigh! A little fun fact about this family—I met Chris and Claire when my husband and I did our premarital counseling through the Summit Church, and they were our mentor couple! We’ve known them for a little over two years now, and they truly are one of the most down-to-earth, candid, and open people we know.

Taking family photos with three kids can be a handful, but these kids were AWESOME! One of my favorite moments was when we captured photos of each child holding up a number that has their age on it! It took a bit of coaxing with the youngest child to participate, but once his parents mentioned ice cream, his face instantly lit up and we were able to capture a smile from him :) The shoot ended with a big cheer from everyone, and it is probably my favorite photo of them because it truly captures their energy and spunk! Enjoy scrolling through the highlights!
