A Precious Newborn Session at Home | Cary Newborn Photographer

Newborn sessions at home are truly one of my favorite things to capture! I had the honor of documenting lifestyle newborn photos for the Wiskirchen family and they were some of the sweetest people I’ve met! Baby girl R was also SO chill and relaxed during the whole shoot…it was seriously amazing! There were so many memorable and precious moments from the shoot, too. I loved how big brother P wanted to wear his superhero outfit during our session; I loved how he held his baby sister for 10 seconds before deciding he was done; I also loved how he gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek! :) Most of all, it was precious to see how they all interacted as a family. Their love and connection with one another were so evident! Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite moments from this session below!

A Sweet Newborn Session at Home | Raleigh Newborn Photographer

I had the honor of capturing newborn photos for the Cooper family, and it was such a sweet session! Baby R is the fourth child in the family, and the older siblings were so wonderful at handling baby sister :) One of the things I loved most about this session was capturing the silliness but also tenderness of the children! I think my favorite moments was when I was photographing dad with baby R, and the kids jumped into the shot and said “cook-a-doodle-doo!” For some reason they loved saying that, and I thought it was so cute! :) See more sweet and tender photos by scrolling down!

A Special Note on Safety and COVID-19:

To help ensure a safe shoot for clients, I wear a surgical face mask for all sessions and do my best to maintain proper social distance. If you are considering a maternity and/or newborn session, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to contact me and I can provide you with more details about how I’m handling safety during COVID-19.

Welcoming Baby #4 | Raleigh Newborn Photographer

I had such a wonderful time capturing newborn and family photos for the Huntley family! We did two sessions—a lifestyle session at home and one at Umstead Park—and both shoots were absolutely delightful. I think what I loved most about working with this family is documenting their love and affection with one another, and seeing how much fun they have being together! It was especially sweet to see how the three older siblings were doting on their baby brother, too :)

For the newborn session, there were SO many sweet and tender moments. One of my favorites was capturing the siblings’ interaction with their baby brother. There was a funny moment when Grant, the older brother, touched his baby brother’s feet. He was genuinely surprised at how soft they were, and his amazement was priceless! I also loved capturing Norah, their second daughter, and her tenderness towards her baby brother. She LOVED helping when it came to calming the baby down or snuggling, and was always nearby to help! There was one photo in particular where she was peeking around the bed (see below!) and watching us when I was photographing the parents and baby—it was so precious!

I also had a blast capturing their family photos at Umstead Park in Raleigh, and I LOVED capturing their joy and silliness! Before we started the shoot, the kids found a piece of pine needle in a spiderweb, and thought it would be funny to pretend they have superpowers to make it fly. Another memorable moment was getting a photo of all the siblings sitting together. Baby Isaac started crying, and I asked the older siblings to help soothe him by going “shhhh shhhh shhhh” (like a live baby shusher). And you know what? It worked! Lastly, at the end of the shoot the kids all thanked me for taking their photos, and I was so touched! Their oldest daughter also gave me a beautiful little crystal she found at the park as a way of saying thanks, and I thought that was so sweet :)

Enjoy some highlights below and getting to know the wonderful Huntley family!
