Raleigh Family Photography at NC Museum of Art | Mills Family

If you're looking for a modern and scenic location for a Raleigh family photography session, look no further than the North Carolina Museum of Art! It truly is a GORGEOUS location for any kind of portrait session, and is perfect if you want a variety of looks and environments for your photos. From clean, sophisticated architecture to long stretches of grassy fields, you have SO many awesome options for backgrounds! All that to say, this location was the perfect fit for the Mills family!

When Karmann contacted me to do an extended family session, I was so thrilled! Extended family sessions are perfect if you want to include grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. to your shoot, and/or do a variety of locations. Documenting multiple generations is not something a lot of families do anymore, and making it happen is extra special. Oh, and did I mention we were able to capture grandparents from BOTH sides of the family?! Talk about an extra, EXTRA special session!

One of my favorite parts of the session was when we took photos out by the fields. We were recreating a photo they did a few years ago, with everyone staggered in different positions. I asked them to give me their best "vogue" pose, and they totally knocked it out of the park! In addition, we took a variety of portraits in the fields, and the golden hour lighting was STUNNING. Every single photo was absolutely gorgeous, but most of all, it was their connection and love for one another that made it even more beautiful. Enjoy the photos!
