I had a ton of fun capturing E’s 6-month milestone session at the gorgeous Bond Park in Cary, NC! It was extra special to have this family’s au pair join us for the shoot as she will be heading back home in the fall. The kids absolutely LOVE her, and it was so sweet to be able to document a few shots of her and the children! We captured some beautiful shots near the trails by the boathouse, and then made our way to the big field. Baby E had the cutest smiles and was also sitting up, which was super special to capture! It was such an honor to photograph this beautiful in-home newborn session for this sweet family! I love documenting these precious first weeks, and this session was especially meaningful as they welcomed home their beautiful adopted baby girl. She had the cutest little expressions and loved sticking out her tongue, which I thought was so funny and adorable! :) I also loved including the family's three dogs, who were so gentle and affectionate with their newest family member.

We captured a lot of relaxed, lifestyle newborn photos throughout their home, preserving all the cuddles, joyful smiles, and tender moments that make this season so special. I had such a wonderful time seeing the A family again for their spring family photos at Apex Nature Park! We met on a beautiful morning and temperature was fortunately not too hot or humid yet.

Their kiddos were absolutely adorable, and it was sweet to see how much their daughter had grown since our last session (she was walking this year!). One of my favorite moments happened as we walked toward the playground and soccer fields. Their son was pretending to shoot webs like his favorite superhero, Spider-Man, and it was both hilarious and adorable to watch. He also loved holding his parents' hands and swinging between them, and the joy on his face was priceless!
