I had the honor of photographing Gerard and Olivia’s wedding ceremony a few weeks ago, and it was lovely in every single way! We captured their ceremony at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Raleigh, and the weather was absolutely perfect that day. One of the fun things I learned about this couple was that they met in high school and were interested in each other, and it wasn’t until a couple of years later that they started dating! :) The wedding ceremony was beautiful and the portraits we captured afterward were amazing. Oh what fun it is to be one! I had such a great time working with this outdoor-loving family and capturing Baby B’s one-year milestone! We captured these photos at Umstead Park, which is truly the perfect location if you love nature. During the shoot, we captured so many great moments around the beautiful trails as well as the gorgeous lake at sunset! Baby B did an AMAZING job and was such a happy boy. I thought it was so adorable to see him quickly walking around and waving the sticks he found (he sure loved them!). Enjoy some of my favorite moments below!

I can’t express how much FUN I had working with this energetic and cheerful family! It was extra special because they will be moving to DC soon, and they wanted to remember their wonderful time in Durham. I remember learning that they also moved around a lot, and have not had a chance to capture many moments they’ve experienced as a family. For this session, they wanted to document this special moment in time with Kelli (mom) who just graduated with an MBA from the Duke Fuqua School of Business, and their ADORABLE twin boys who will be starting kindergarten soon. The shoot itself was MAGIC and the kids were incredibly silly and happy, and I loved capturing their personalities! One of my favorite moments was when they were eating cupcakes that they brought, and seeing how happy it made them :) We also ended the shoot by the ATC entrance, and the image was priceless!
