I had the honor of working with the S family recently, and they were such a sweet and laid-back family! They wanted to document their daughter’s one-year milestone, and they also wanted to show the love and fun they have as a family. Their son was so adorable and funny, and was such a sweet older brother to his sister! Their daughter was also almost standing up on her own, and it was so precious to see her trying during the shoot. I especially loved the smiles from her solo shots! Every season is worth capturing, even if you are moving! As stressful as moving can be, there’s nothing more precious than documenting your family photos at your home. One of my clients got in touch with me about doing a family session at their house before they moved, and I was honored to do so (and of course, I was also sad because I will miss them dearly!).

During the session, I suggested we take photos in the rooms where they spent the most time as a family. We started off in the upstairs playroom, and had a TON of fun playing and running around :) We also took some pictures in their family room. I LOVED the map they had of all the places they’ve lived and visited, and I especially loved the quote on it:

“The best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been, and the memories we’ve made along the way.”

We also captured photos of each child and their room, and I loved each of their unique decor and style! We also took photos outsides on the swings and in front of the house. We then wrapped up the shoot with some delicious snacks, and also played with bubbles on the back porch! We did a TON of activities and it was so worth it :) See more sweet, silly, and fun moments below!

I had SO much fun capturing Baby C’s 6-month milestone photos this spring with the G family again! We captured their photos at the gorgeous NCMA in Raleigh. Baby C was very smiley and happy during the shoot, and gave us the sweetest smiles! :) I also loved capturing photos of their older daughter playing and interacting with her baby sister.
