I’m so excited that spring is here! I had the honor of photographing the P family recently at the NC Museum of Art, and it was such a wonderful session! They are such a sweet family and had the best laughs and smiles :) We also captured photos around the golden hour and the light was beautiful, warm, and magical! We captured a mix of some family portraits and cheerful candid photos of them interacting with their baby boy. During the last part of our shoot, we were capturing a few photos of just mom and dad. We had baby safely fastened in the stroller near us, and it was funny to see how happy and smiley he was watching us :) Enjoy seeing more beautiful photos and moments from this session below!

What a joy it was to work with the P family again! Seeing their family grow throughout the years has been an honor, and we had SO much fun doing photos at Umstead Park in Raleigh. I loved how their girls took off running and exploring when they arrived! They were SO cheerful and full of energy and smiles :) I also enjoyed photographing their playfulness and love as a family—we tossed leaves in the air and had an awesome time laughing together! As the session ended, their youngest daughter found a stick and started walking with it. I saw the sun was beautifully setting behind her and gave a gorgeous backlight! I quickly captured the moment and thought it perfectly captured her adventurous spirit :) Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite moments below!

I absolutely LOVE doing family sessions at home! It’s a place that is so rich and vibrant with meaning, and a place where kids can feel comfortable! I had the honor of working with this sweet family at their gorgeous home in Bahama, NC. We started off with a couple of lifestyle photos inside, then went outside to capture the beautiful fall colors and leaves! One of my favorite parts of the shoot was capturing how much their older daughter loved swinging with her parents. She seriously had the biggest smile! :) I also loved capturing the silly and sweet moments when they were playing in the leaves (and throwing them in the air too!). There was also a moment when their older daughter got a boo-boo, and it was sweet to document her parents kissing her boo-boo better :) Check out more of my favorite moments from this awesome family session below!
