Y’all, this shoot was AMAZING in every single way! Despite the crazy heat and humidity that day, this sweet family totally rocked it in front of the camera! It was also a bittersweet session because they will be moving soon, so this was a very special session to remember their time in Durham. Their son was seriously the HAPPIEST kid I’ve ever met! He was so smiley, silly, and cheerful, and you can’t help but smile, too! :) I also loved capturing their laughter and interactions with one another, and I especially loved the photos we captured towards the end. We documented a beautiful family photo with the water tower in the background, which is so iconic and totally Durham! I had the privilege of working with the D family again, and it was for a special celebration! Their three boys have birthdays in the summer within a few weeks of each other, and it was the perfect time for them to host a family reunion. The extended family has not been together since pre-covid times, so this was extra special! My favorite moment from this event was when it was time for CAKE :) The kids were SO excited and literally couldn’t keep their eyes off of the amazing Encanto-themed cake! I had SO much fun capturing Baby C’s one-year milestone recently at Forest Hills Park in Durham! It has truly been a joy working with this family throughout this past year, and I had the honor of capturing his newborn and six-month milestone sessions, too. Baby C has seriously one of the SWEETEST smiles and it was so fun capturing him exploring the grassy fields, reading together with his parents, and being tossed in the air! One of the most memorable parts of the shoot was seeing how happy and excited he would get when we would clap our hands—it was SO cute. I also loved it when he was reading a book with his parents, and he kissed the book! I couldn’t stop laughing :) See more adorable and precious moments from this wonderful milestone session below!
