A Beautiful Senior Session at UNC | Chapel Hill Graduation Photographer

I had such a fun time photographing Anna, a recent Jordan High School grad, for her senior session this spring! Anna is heading to UNC Wilmington in the fall, and it was such a joy to capture this milestone before she starts her next chapter. We did her session at UNC Chapel Hill, though Anna wanted to avoid anything that felt too “UNC”. Instead, we focused on more timeless, natural backdrops across campus, and it ended up being the perfect blend of elegance and personality. We found some beautiful spots around McCorkle Place, as well as some charming nearby buildings. Scroll down to see more of my favorite moments below! Congratulations, Anna!

A Beautiful Fall Family Session at Coker Arboretum | UNC Chapel Hill Family Photographer

It was a joy working with the A family again this fall! We captured photos at the UNC Coker Arboretum, and it was so beautiful! The leaves were a lovely orange, and the weather was pleasant and cool. We captured photos the day before Thanksgiving, and so I asked the kids their favorite Thanksgiving foods, etc. One of my favorite moments from the session was when I asked their son to say, “turkey” to the camera, he would instead say, “apple!” That went on for the whole shoot, and it totally made me laugh! :) The kids were also very active and LOVED running. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to capture them in action to remember this precious moment in time. Enjoy seeing some of my favorite photos from this beautiful fall family session below!

Summer Maternity Session at UNC | Chapel Hill Family Photographer

I recently had the honor of capturing maternity photos for Shirin and Tyler around the UNC Chapel Hill campus, and it was seriously so much FUN! When they were brainstorming locations for their maternity session, Tyler had the idea of doing it at UNC, where they first met as undergrads. As they started searching for UNC maternity photographers, they found one of my pictures online, which was how we got in touch!

The day of our shoot was hot and humid (typical North Carolina summer weather!), and fortunately, we captured these photos in the morning before it got even hotter. Shirin and Tyler were SO cheerful and natural in front of the camera, and I loved how much they would smile and laugh with one another! Another memorable part of the shoot was incorporating their sweet dog, Luna, in the photos! She LOVED to sit on Shirin (as you can see in the pictures below) and was truly the sweetest dog and followed commands so well! We captured photos around the iconic Old Well, the upper quad, Davie Bench (a.k.a the “Kissing Bench”), and the beautiful Bell Tower. Believe it or not, it was my first time doing a shoot at the Bell Tower, and I can’t believe I haven’t been there earlier—it’s stunning! Enjoy the highlights below, and I can’t wait for their baby girl to arrive!
