Summer Fun at Home | Hillsborough Family Photographer

I had SO much fun capturing photos of this sweet family again! We started off the shoot with some family portraits on the front steps, and then we captured a lot of candid shots of the kids! Since most kids are wiggly and are constantly on the move, I love incorporating photos of children moving and having FUN! One of the best ways to capture joyful expressions is letting your kids do what they love. During the session, I had the oldest son ride his bike around his family, and the grin on his face was priceless! I also loved capturing the boys on their scooters, playing in the treehouse, and being silly with their parents. I also snuck in a quick portrait of just the parents because I know it’s not often you get a photo of just the two of you (most people tell me the last time they got a professional photo of the two of them was their wedding day!).

Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorite highlights from this fun family session at home!

A Precious Time Together | Durham Family Photographer

I had a delightful time capturing family photos for the Adams family last month! This family was SO warm and welcoming, and there were so many wonderful highlights from this shoot. I captured a variety of groupings for the family, and the first one was a portrait of the grandparents, also known as Pop and Baba in the family! Baba has some mobility issues due to multiple sclerosis, and I thought it was incredibly touching to see Pop helping his wife walk towards the patio chairs for the shoot. Their love for one another was so sweet!

I also loved capturing the brother and sister shot of Steve and Robin (the adult children of Pop and Baba). Steve has down syndrome, and it was endearing to see his sister holding his hand during most of the shoot to help him feel comfortable! We also took a more candid style approach to get some genuine smiles. We had a fun conversation with Steve about what they’ll be doing later in the day, which was Pizza Friday!

One other memorable part of the shoot was capturing photos of their 17-year-old yorkie, Winston! He was so teeny tiny, and incredibly adorable and full of love! Even though he was blind and deaf, he showed so much affection for his owner, Becky, and towards the whole family. I loved the photo of him licking Becky’s face! :) Y’all, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, don’t wait to take photos with your family. Life goes by so fast! We can have a safe and socially distanced shoot, and I’ll be wearing a mask and refrain from contact. Please contact me to learn about the precautions I’m taking to ensure a safe shoot!
