I was so excited when the D family reached out about scheduling spring photos! They are some of my longest-standing clients, and it has been such an honor to photograph so many milestones for their family over the years—from newborn photos for both of their boys to family sessions as they've grown!

This spring, we met at Dix Park in Raleigh for a beautiful evening session, and they brought a fun surprise for their boys: lightsabers! :) It was adorable watching the excitement on their faces when they found out. One of my favorite moments was when their youngest stretched out his hand and said he was "using the Force.” It had us all laughing!

We spent most of the session taking photos around the Big Field before finishing near one of the famous trolls at Dix Park. When we were walking over to see the trolls, their oldest wanted to show me that some of his adult teeth have grown in, and the photo I caught was so funny, genuine, and priceless! It was such a joy to see the C family again for their annual family photos! This year we captured their photos at Bond Park in Cary, NC. I remember being nervous about the iffy weather we were having, but it turned out to be a gorgeous evening! I told them they brought the sunshine :) One of the things I love most about this family is how much they love to laugh and smile! The kids were energetic and silly, and they were also AMAZING at soccer! I definitely did not have that kind of footwork as a kid (I was always more of an artsy and musical kid!), and it was so special to capture their soccer skills at this age. I also loved how their dad also demonstrated his talent and soccer skills with the kids! I had a delightful time working with the A family again at UNC’s Coker Arboretum for a spring photo shoot! I arrived early and saw the kids were finishing up dinner before the session, and I had to take some cute pics of them eating and checking out their toys from Chick fil a :) After they were done, we captured a couple of sweet family photos around the garden. The kids also LOVED running (and were running around most of the shoot!) and I wanted to capture how happy they were running!
