There were a lot of babies born this fall/winter, and this baby girl was one of them! I had the honor of working with Aliza and Dave, and their baby girl was such a joy to capture. One of the most memorable things about this shoot was the wall of photos displayed in their living room. Aliza and Dave LOVE travel and photography, and captured some incredible photos over the years! Some images included animals they documented from a SAFARI; if you scroll down, the last photo shows a portrait of them standing in front of their incredible wall of photos. After many years of waiting and praying, this family was blessed with this sweet baby boy! As I got to know this family, I remember this mama described their journey as a struggle of loss, love, and perseverance. They wanted to capture this precious moment in time so that their son can see how much he was wanted and how much they loved him!

During their newborn session, I remember wanting to highlight the love, joy, and tenderness of this season of life. We didn't use any props and I didn't stage them in any awkward or cheesy poses. I wanted to capture something real and genuine, and instead asked them to engage and interact with their sweet baby boy. And you know what? It was MAGIC. What a JOY it was to capture these newborn photos for my sweet neighbors, Marlee and Caleb! :) Baby Levi was so cute and had amazing SILVER-BLONDE hair! We started off the shoot relaxing in the living room, and the light was absolutely perfect. We then captured photos in the master bedroom (isn’t the teal-colored wall beautiful?) and it was so adorable to see him cuddling in his parents’ arms. We also captured a photo of him with his personalized blanket, which I thought was so unique and meaningful! See more photos from this beautiful newborn session below! :)
